Pixls is being built as a friendly creative space. The skin studio is open; community posting and chat are not open yet.
Create without signing in.
Painting, skin imports, and exports happen in your browser. We don’t upload your skin or reference image when you edit locally. Active projects, saved skins, palettes, and brushes are kept in this browser’s local storage.
A little privacy goes a long way.
Use Google or email and password when accounts are connected. You can use the editor without giving us your name, email, age, or location. Choose a nickname instead of a real name. Google profile photos and real names are not shown publicly.
Your work is yours to keep.
Export Minecraft PNGs and editable project backups whenever you like. Browser data can be cleared. Cloud storage is optional. Save in Pixls uploads that project to your private account shelf. Autosave uploads further changes only for a project you enable it on. Three recent versions are kept. Nothing is posted to the community by a cloud save. Cloud Trash can be restored; Remove forever deletes its cloud copy and saved versions. Device copies stay in their own browser storage.
Kindness before community.
Public visitors will be able to watch the future community. Posting and chat will require explicit approval. No direct messages, public contact details, location sharing, or random visitor chat are planned. Site admins will manage approvals and moderation. Family controls are planned for a later phase.
What the connected services receive
Vercel hosts the site and receives ordinary web request information, such as an IP address and browser details, to serve and protect it. Auth.js handles sign-in with encrypted session cookies. Google receives the information needed to sign you in. When manual accounts are connected, a PostgreSQL database stores your nickname, email, and a salted password hash. If you choose cloud saves, it also stores the skin’s pixels, name, model, preview, and up to three saved versions, accessible only to your account. Resend delivers verification and reset emails. No plaintext passwords are stored. This build does not include advertising, third-party analytics, or marketing trackers.
Before the community opens
The site operator will publish contact information, complete account deletion procedures, and community moderation rules before public contributions open. Public chat remains closed during this first studio phase.
A Minecraft fan project
Pixls is an independent fan project. It is not an official Minecraft product and is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft.
